Completed school addition project.

This is the Level 1 floor plan of my proposed addition to my high school. This bottom level of the addition is suspended above the loading docks area of my high school and is at the level of the second floor of my school.

here is the upper level or level 2 floor plan of my proposed addition. It has stairs leading up to it from the raised area of level 1. If modifications were made to the third floor hallways in this location it would be possible to connect this area to the third floor of my school however the area would also work well without the entrance to the main building.

This is the revolving door entrance to the new addition. I spent a lot of time thinking about how to seamlessly move students in and out from this somewhat isolated area. I decided that by creating a motion detected revolving door which keeps people to the right side of the walkway more students will be able to exit and enter in a seamless manner. The doors on the right side of this rendering are the entrance to the smaller tutoring or instructive space which could be used by student study groups or small classes. The floot in the main lounge area is oak.

Here is one view of the raised lounge area from floor 1. This raising of a section of the space serves two purposes. it allows for a landing between the level 1 and level 2 spaces and also creates a segregated space which could be used for storage while not taking up floor space. as you can see walking underneath the stairs and into the space underneath this raised lounge area would be very easy.

I have abandoned the area next to the walkway and instead focused on an area above the loading docks. and back of cafeteria. Here are a couple views of my new area.

this is the second floor area and circular entrance. the top left hand corner is elevated and has staircases leading down to floor 2 and up to floor 3.

this is the third floor level there is not an entrance to the third floor hallway currently available at this location but an addition or removal of a classroom would make this area have the ability to connect to multiple floor.

this is the "fourth" floor or the part of the walls and roof which reach above the third floor. the roof is slanted downwards and away from the entrance of the building
